How we write our guides
My Local Shuttle's guides and articles exist to get you to your destination without surprises. This page explains who writes them, where the information comes from and how we keep it up to date.
- Human review before publishing
- Guides reviewed every 180 days
- Prices from our quote tool, with a date
Who writes
Our guides are signed by the My Local Shuttle editorial team: the operations and customer service team that coordinates our transfers. When a specific person writes or reviews a piece, it carries their name.

How we use artificial intelligence
We use AI to draft and translate. No piece is published until a person has read it and checked its facts. Pieces written with AI assistance are flagged internally.
Where our information comes from
What we say about our own service comes from our published terms. What we say about third parties comes from their official sources; if a fact can't be confirmed, we don't publish it.
- AirportsAirport operators and transportation authorities
- BusesADO's official website
- Tren MayaOfficial website and government announcements
Prices
The "from" price in each guide is calculated daily by our quote tool, with the date shown. We never write prices by hand, and we don't publish third-party fares without an official fare table.
Review and corrections
Guides are reviewed every 180 days, or sooner if something important changes. The "Updated" date only changes when the content does. Spotted a mistake? Let us know and we'll fix it.
Our position
We sell private transfers, and we say so. Even so, our comparisons include buses, taxis, the Tren Maya and rental cars, with their real advantages: we'd rather you choose well.
